The concert will be hosted by Carl Chinn, and feature Fret & Fiddle (Hot Gypsy Swing Band) Highbury Little Theatre players Sharron Burns, Soprano & Forthcoming Show at the Prince of Wales Cannock. Massed Male Voice Choirs some are also members of the English Association of MVCs

- A 50ft inflatable dragon slide, complete with moving jaws and snorting smoke,
will roar in to Victoria Square allowing young daring Knights to climb
aboard and slide down it’s tail. A traditional carousel will also be in the
square while face painters are on hand to get children in the St George’s Day

Birmingham Central Library in partnership with Claire Galleries is hosting The Big Birmingham Vote! Visit the amazing exhibition of original artwork on floor one of the library throughout April, each image taking its inspiration from a well known view of the City Centre.
Visitors can join the city’s school children to vote for their favourite image either remotely through the web site at http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/libraries.bcc or through a terminal placed in the exhibition, right up until midday on the 21st April. At 12noon the voting closes and at 3pm the people's choice of the 'iconic image of Birmingham 2007' will be revealed! Exhibition is open for viewing from April 2nd until the end of the month.
Older Than Your Gran! From 10am – 5pm the same day the Central Library is also hosting an intriguing Family Fun Day of eye-opening activities!
· Take the family on a voyage of discovery through some of the library's very own iconic images of England · Internationally renowned and priceless historical collections to explore. · Join in English folk tale story sessions · Bring the kids in ‘Old England’ fancy dress – prizes for the best!

The Scouts Association and the Birmingham Scouts celebrate their 100th year in 2007. The Patron Saint of the Association is St George and as such they will celebrate their centenary and affiliation to St George by parading along Broad Street very significantly to Centenary Square. The Parade started from the Five Ways end of Broad Street at 2pm and culminated by the Lord Mayor taking their Salute at 3pm in Centenary Square. Some 5000 Scouts will took a re-affirmation of their promises in Centenary Square in front of a stage positioned in front of Symphony Hall. The event on Centenary Square took place between 3pm – 5pm.
