 Birmingham St. George's Day Association

                                                      CONCERT 2008                              

 Plus Outdoor Events!!  Saturday                      

                     We present another concert in aid of DEBRA (A charity that carries out research into chronic skin blistering). The web site is;       DEBRA.     

and also support for the Bi-Polar Disorder which treats acute depression, who need equipment in the Birmingham area.

 

at Symphony Hall on Saturday 26th April at 6pm  until 9pm approx with  two breaks

The tickets are £8 (all areas except Grand Tier (£6) (includes Free Programme) and available from  March 4th

The Concert will be recorded by BBC WM and broadcast by them at a later date.

Details will be given by Carl Chinn  on BBC WM.

The concert will be  hosted by Carl Chinn, and feature

Show Of Hands an English Folk Group (also appearing in the outside events)

    As part of the expansion of the Association we are planning other activities around the city on the day:

Show of Hands a fantastic folk group.


  The Fab Beatles a Beatles Tribute Band


  City of Birmingham Brass Band our own Brass Band


  Children's entertainment to include Face painting, a Carousel, and a Smoke breathing Dragon !
     and a medieval coin maker etc.

  A wine tasting event which is free of charge but has to be pre-booked.
  Hot and cold drinks available

                                          Dress up in historic costume (don’t forget your camera!)                               

                                            Try your hand at some Medieval-inspired crafts                                              

                                     Experience a fabulous makeover with make-up artist Julia  Hyland                                                                                                             

                                   Meet a heroic knight and learn more about his adventurous life!                 

                                     Relax and listen to our merry musicians, Diabolus in Musica                        

        Watch a new and exciting performance of St George and the Dragon with Perrotts Puppet  Players                                                                  

                                                           Solve our puzzles and quizzes

Please note: activities are offered on a drop-in basis for family groups. We are unable to accommodate organised groups at art and craft workshops due to space restrictions and health and safety regulations. All activities are subject to change.

 

                                    Make it a Family Day out and support your St. George's Day.
